Welcome to the supernatural creature's haven, Kinau. Kinau is a fictitious town on the O'ahu island of Hawaii. Why supernaturals have congregated in the island city is still unknown, but the inhabitants, human and supernatural alike, are learning to adjust to their new reality.
This site aims for a supernatural spin on a slice-of-life city, complete with an academy and college to ensure everyone has a place here.

the valentines dance is open to all. staff will post a starting thread and you can post an entry or make a thread of your own. the dance will take place near the beach. its all outdoors with the dance floor being in large pavilion.
for those that show up without a date. fret not. we have a little sign up sheet for blind dates.
if you don't want your character to participate in the blind date, don't worry they can still be part of the dance.
apart from the dance there will be food/drinks and of course access to the beach.

Olivia is a wary being to say the least. After a nasty fight with a fellow dragon left her with a vicious scar and a bruised ego, she has become very distrustful of other supernatural beings - especially other dragons. The way she was raised has left Olivia with very limited knowledge on other supernatural races - she only recognizes the common names such as demon and vampire, but not kitsune or nekomata.
Olivia stands at 6'2 but she has a lanky frame, derived from her dragon form. She has pale skin, despite the tropical climate, due to staying mostly inside her home; tending to her plants. Her distinguishing features are her green eyes, silvery hair and a large jagged scar that dashes down her cheek. Olivia prefers loose fitting shirts, shorts and dresses plainly; prying eyes making her very uncomfortable.
Olivia does not make friends easily; perhaps stemming from the fact that she's never had any or that she is too distrusting of everyone around her. Friendliness, kindness or generosity make her suspicious like every other emotion besides hostility. Not all hope is lost though - just offer her a trinket box or a pocket watch for her hoard and she might see you as less of an annoyance and more like an ally.
Although Olivia dislikes everyone she meets at first, hate is surprisingly hard to come by. She wishes no one dead or ill and someone trying to get on her bad side are more likely to be shown contempt than wrath. Olivia rolls her eyes to most emotional dramas and encourages tantrums for her own strange amusement. However, breaking something in her hoard is certain to get an angry, hissing dragon snapping at your limbs.
Unknown to everyone, even her father, Olivia is a lesbian. Although it is clear she has no romantic interest in males, it is also very hard to tell when or if Olivia is attracted to anybody at all. She simply shows the same wariness to everyone and never acts on any possible feelings - and romantic endeavors from others make her uncomfortable. Good luck if you want to try and woo this one.
A dragon as poisonous as Belladonna, Amaya has lived for centuries on end. Originally a reclusive village girl who hid her draconic heritage, she rose up in class and power upon becoming a mistress of a lord. However she was soon found out as a dragon, starting the chain of her marrying, killing, and fleeing her husbands. She now resides in Kinau as a shop keeper, partially free from persecution -- she still has the sins of murder and adultery on her back.
These two seem a bit like oil and water, clashing a bit. While Amaya can acknowledge quietness and more wary people (she can be distant herself), stoic people can get a bit boring. She's had her far share of grumps and passive people in her lifetime, passing from husband to husband and country to country throughout time. But maybe Amaya's sugary language and flirty demeanor can be a turn off for Olivia, especially since Amaya is a dragon herself.
Not only that but Olivia is business competition for Amaya who's set up a similar shop in Kinau for years. It's even more competitive for Amaya since Olivia is a green dragon, more specialized than she in plants and the sore note that Amaya's ill mom was a green dragon but oops memories. Anywho, give or take these two might be bickering with one another with old ladies (certainly on Amaya's side, the old bitty).

Jeez, a business rival, a fellow dragon and a flirt? Olivia would despise Amaya for sure. I love tense rps and Amaya sounds like an amusing character for Olivia to argue with - though any bold flirts might cause her to turn tail and back away.

Conquering another person is fun β‘. She's had practice too. But never had she flirted heavily with another woman, huhu. If she sees Olivia's tail turning in embarrassment prepared for it to be turned up to hundred from zero.
Seeing her rival at her mercy feels her with joy in a bit of a sadistic way hehe. She'd probably encounter Olivia in her shop, observing her competitor's layout and stock before making quips about the place and its owner.
